The Nagaland Institute of Science & Technology (NIST) offers a wide range of advanced diagnostic test services, including molecular diagnostics for conditions such as Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) and Human Papillomavirus (HPV). Other tests available include DNA testing, blood grouping and Rh typing, and screening for diseases like Paragonimiasis, Scrub Typhus, H. pylori infection, Malaria, Dengue, and Tuberculosis (Sputum AFB). NIST also conducts routine tests such as haemoglobin levels, urine and blood examinations, kidney and liver function tests (KFT, LFT), blood sugar monitoring, thyroid function, HIV screening, and stool analysis. These diagnostic services are not only available within the state but also extend to clients outside Nagaland.
